Job Description

CIMA+ is seeking a candidate to join its team. We are looking for someone who is eager to take on challenges and ready to become part of a dynamic and rapidly growing team. CIMA+ is a well-established multidisciplinary company operating on the Canadian national market.

We are currently involved in several projects related to mobility and public transportation systems, including urban bus transit as well as rail transportation. The selected candidate will play a designer role in the development of operational and mobility solutions, including Operations Support and Passenger Information Systems (OS-PIS / SAEIV).

With excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, the candidate will act as a representative of CIMA+ and will work closely with clients to ensure they are served professionally and effectively. Self-motivated and proactive, the candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal abilities, and stands out for their analytical mindset and attention to detail, enabling them to manage the complexity of integrated systems efficiently.

The position is not tied to a specific office location. A significant portion of the work may also be carried out remotely.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support clients in the planning, design, and implementation of mobility systems
  • Produce system design deliverables, including:
  • Functional and technical specification documents
  • Technical descriptions of onboard SAEIV equipment and cabling requirements
  • Interface specifications with other systems, for example:
    Fare collection systems, Passenger information systems, Wireless telecommunications, Video surveillance systems
  • System layout and deployment diagrams
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients, understand their needs, and translate them into technical solutions
  • Monitor technological developments, evaluate, and recommend software and hardware solutions tailored to client needs
  • Facilitate and lead technical meetings and workshops
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal processes and work methods
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. Any relevant profile will be considered
  • Graduate studies (Master’s degree) in Project Management, Transportation Systems, Telecommunications, Data Science, or related fields would be an asset
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in mobility systems or a closely related interdisciplinary field
  • Experience or strong interest in consulting
  • Relevant experience in software systems engineering and integration
  • Experience in public transit and rail projects, mobility, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
  • Membership in a professional engineering association (asset)
  • Fluency in both French and English is required for this position to ensure effective interaction with diverse stakeholders, clear communication, and the successful delivery of projects at the national level
