Position: Project Manager (Millwork)
Location: Mount Royal

Project Manager IN MILLWORK:

SAJO, a well-established Integrated Project Delivery company specialized in designing and building environments for more than 45 years and headquartered in Montreal, is currently looking for a Project Manager for their Millwork Procurement Division, which caters to the retail and high-end residential sectors.

Reporting directly to the Director and Senior Project Manager of the Millwork Procurement Division, the Project Manager's responsibilities are as follows:

  • Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Review and prepare bid documents.
  • Read shop drawings and generate take-offs of millwork / metal and component requirements.
  • Negotiate/award contracts with respective vendors.
  • Assist client in developing design intent criteria to produce shop drawings.
  • Monitor status and compliance of shop drawings with regards to timeliness and accuracy.
  • Establish production schedules and revise schedules to reflect design changes, backlogs, or delays.
  • Monitor work progress to assess compliance of quality standards.
  • Coordinate production and shipping activities and ensure shipping schedules are respected.
  • Monitor and track reception of components produced / received /shipped.
  • Document production, transportation, schedules, delays, changes, and other information related to the project.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • BAC or DEC in engineering, architecture, interior design, construction technology or any related education.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of standard methods, materials, and practices of custom millwork and metal.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings and fixture shop drawings.
  • Ability to manage several projects at one time, changing priorities, and tight timelines.
  • Ability to assume self-guided responsibility for completion of projects.
  • Experience in millwork manufacturing and estimation, procurement, design, and production for the retail and high-end residential sectors is considered a strong asset.
  • Professional working proficiency in both English and French (spoken and written).
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, MS Project, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Procore (Project Management Software) is considered an asset.

Chargé de projet:

SAJO, une entreprise bien établie de livraison de projets intégrée, spécialisée dans la conception et la construction d’environnements depuis plus de 45 ans et dont le siège social est à Montréal, est présentement à la recherche d'un chargé de projet pour leur division d’approvisionnement en menuiserie, qui s’adresse aux secteurs de commerce de détail et des résidences haut de gamme.

Relevant directement du directeur et du chargé de projet principal de la division de l'approvisionnement en menuiserie, les responsabilités du chargé de projet sont les suivantes:

  • Développer et maintenir des relations de travail coopératives avec les clients et les fournisseurs.
  • Réviser et préparer les documents d’appel d’offres.
  • Lire les dessins d'atelier et produire des relevés des exigences en matière de menuiserie, de métal et de composants.
  • Négocier et attribuer les contrats avec les fournisseurs respectifs.
  • Aider le client à élaborer des critères d’intention de conception pour produire des dessins d'atelier.
  • Surveiller l'état et la conformité des dessins d’atelier en ce qui concerne le respect des délais et l’exactitude.
  • Établir les calendriers de production et les réviser pour tenir compte des changements de conception, des arriérés ou des retards.
  • Surveiller l'avancement des travaux pour évaluer la conformité aux normes de qualité.
  • Coordonner les activités de production et d'expédition et veiller à ce que les calendriers d'expédition soient respectés.
  • Surveiller et suivre la réception des composants produits / reçus / expédiés.
  • Documenter la production, le transport, les calendriers, les retards, les changements et toute autre information relative au projet.
