Professional – Engineering - Electrical Systems Integration
Role overviewIn this multifaceted position within the Functional Engineering Team, you will be supported by the Electrical Systems Manager as a Professional – Engineering – Electrical Systems Integration. The Electrical Systems Integration team develops, certifies, improves, and maintains industry-leading standards for Electrical Power Generation & Distribution systems and lighting architectures on Bombardier airplanes. You will support all Bombardier products and will:
- Participate in Electrical Systems technical improvements & developments for existing and future airplane programs (optimize architectures, incorporate new technologies, etc.).
- Prepare/review engineering documents related to electrical system changes on Challenger 3500/650 and Global 5500/6500/7500/8000 aircraft (production and in-service).
- Propose, elaborate, and test novel approaches to optimize our business airplanes on aspects such as emissions reduction, costs, weight, performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to trade studies associated with new technology introduction and integration on aircraft.
- Learn and contribute to the Electrical Knowledge Domain to capture lessons learned and best industry practices (product & process).
- Manage interfaces with internal & external partners and suppliers for technical aspects.
- Represent the Electrical discipline with internal and external collaborators.
As our ideal candidate, you:
- Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Have a minimum of 5 years in electrical system integration or related experience.
- Have knowledge of relevant industry standards (RTCA/DO-160, SAE, MIL-STD, etc) and are familiar with airworthiness (TCCA, FAA, EASA) regulations and advisory materials pertaining to Electrical.
- Are comfortable working in a team and can interact with other functional areas, including airworthiness, manufacturing, and other engineering disciplines to achieve common goals.
- Have good oral and technical writing skills. French is an asset.
- Can work autonomously and demonstrate initiative to achieve goals.
- Are motivated to learn and work on multiple projects at the same time.
- Located at Bombardier Montréal, Québec or Bombardier Toronto, Ontario.
- The position is currently a hybrid of working remote from home and on-site work.
