You have experience managing tender processes and a technical background that enables you to work with engineering teams; you have worked in aeronautical procurement and want to grow and develop new skills. This position is for you!

The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for one (1) buyer for the purchasing portfolio related to service provisions for Engineering. Join the General Purchasing team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work jointly with Purchasing teams in the Americas and Europe, as well as with Engineering and Finance departments.

• Defining purchasing strategy
• Managing tender processes
• Negotiating supplier offers (price negotiation)
• Contract negotiation

As a buyer, your role will be to coordinate the requirements from the Engineering services located in Mirabel, support the drafting of specifications in coordination with Europe, ensure that the strategy defined for the Group's global tenders is taken into account by the engineering teams, and work with the Senior Buyer for Engineering Services to prepare and carry out these global tenders.

• Get Engineering teams to work with their counterparts in Europe on drafting specifications
• Manage relationships with Engineering teams to ensure adherence to tender timelines
• Consolidate the information required to launch tenders with Finance and Engineering teams
• Ensure commitments are respected with Purchasing teams in the Americas and Europe
• Work closely with Purchasing teams in the Americas and Europe to prepare and execute tenders
• Participate in the analysis of offers and assist in their evaluation during different tender rounds
• Attend meetings to support the Senior Buyer for Engineering in preparation and execution

• Proven experience in procurement, negotiation and contract management
• General technical knowledge in engineering
• Fluency in French and English (required)
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and in contexts where cost and schedule constraints are significant
• Agility and the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and prioritize urgent and important matters
• Ability to communicate and interact with different hierarchical levels
