Job Description (English)

The A220 commercial aircraft program is seeking a Process and Performance Engineer to join the Operational Excellence, Manufacturing Engineering department based in Mirabel, Québec, Canada. The role involves optimizing the industrial performance of the A220 through continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Lead performance analysis, line balancing (SLB), and improvement roadmaps to optimize series production.
  • Evaluate and optimize transverse industrial performance using key indicators such as efficiency, production rate, cycle time, etc.
  • Design and maintain Standard Line Balancing (SLB) for all production configurations.
  • Generate and publish the final balance for each aircraft in production.
  • Perform root cause analysis (Pareto) for hazards and bottlenecks.
  • Propose concrete and measurable action plans to improve process efficiency.
  • Document and manage operational constraints per workstation to optimize planning.
  • Lead the improvement roadmap and Return of Experience (REX) initiatives with the Manufacturing Engineering MFT team.
  • Ensure link with upstream and downstream workstations and serve as the point of contact with the Autonomous Production Team (EAP).
Qualifications
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Solid professional experience in an industrial environ ment, preferably manufacturing or aerospace (minimum 3-5 years).
  • Proficiency in industrial performance concepts, time analysis, and line balancing (SLB).
  • Demonstrated expertise in production flow modeling (PERT) and root cause analysis methods (Pareto).
  • Rigorous, proactive, strong analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in French and English.

  • Documenter et gérer les contraintes opérationnelles par poste afin d'optimiser la planification.
  • Piloter la feuille de route d'amélioration et les initiatives REX avec l'équipe MFT Méthodes.
  • Assurer le lien avec les postes amont et aval et être le point de contact avec l'EAP.
