Position: Engineering Student - Structural Analysis - Fall 2026

We’re on the hunt for a motivated and talented Engineering Student in our Structural Analysis department at our Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue office. This is a 4 month mandate (with a possibility of 8 months) starting in September 2026. Overall the successful candidate would be treated similar to a new graduate joining our company, where tasks will be assigned relative to the level of schooling and experience achieved to date.

Under the supervision of a senior analyst, the successful candidate will perform structural analyses of space antennas and electronic equipment using the finite element method.

Responsibilities
  • Analyses will include static, dynamic and thermoelastic analyses
  • Using commercial software or software developed at MDA, the candidate will calculate the safety margins of components
  • The candidate will size components, identify problems and suggest modifications if necessary
  • The candidate may be required to generate test procedures and structural analysis or test reports to demonstrate compliance of subsystems
Experience And Skills Required
  • Completion of 90 Bachelor's degree credits in Mechanical Engineering prior to the start of the internship with a GPA above 3.2 / 4.0
  • Demonstrate a sense of initiative
Desirable Skills
  • Successfully completed a course in finite element analysis
  • Knowledge of Nx software
  • Bilingual
