The In-Service Structure Engineering department provides efficient repair solutions to A220 customers. You will be part of a team supporting the in-service airline fleet on structural repairs and will be responsible for timely justifications from a static stress perspective.

  • Present generic repair analyses to regulatory engineering teams (e.g. Transport Canada) for concurrence.
  • Ensure aircraft safety and airworthiness and report unsafe conditions.
  • Coordinate proposed repair solutions with other A220 stakeholders, considering airworthiness regulations, materials and processes, aerodynamic effects and other relevant functions.
  • Promote and support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives within the Daily Repairs organisation.
  • Deliver repair instructions in accordance with certification/airworthiness requirements and Airbus processes and methods.
  • Maintain awareness of potential compliance risks and act with integrity.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience in stress analysis within the aerospace industry.
  • Good knowledge of aircraft metallic structure stress analysis (practical experience on A220 structures is an asset).
  • Knowledge of damage tolerance analysis (experience with NASGRO is an asset).
  • Ability to interrogate aircraft structure repair drawings (CATIA V5 is an asset).
  • Good understanding of applicable airworthiness regulations (experience with Transport Canada is an asset).
