Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Engine, Fuel Control & Engine Component Engineering
Serve as the technical authority for our turbine engines, with primary focus on fuel control units, engine components, LRUs (e.g., pumps, actuators, valves, gearboxes), piece part repairs and re-manufacturing.Manage the technical health of the engine fleet by monitoring and improving Condition Monitoring / In‑Service Health Monitoring (CM/IHM) programs at the engine and component level.Analyze engine and accessory performance data to recommend maintenance program changes, including TBO/MTBO adjustments, on‑condition strategies, and reliability improvements.Lead or support design change and obsolescence activities related to fuel controls and components, including alternate parts, repairs, and vendor changes.Provide hands‑on engineering support for:
Engines, Fuel control and accessory troubleshooting, Engine strip, build, and module‑level maintenance, engine and accessory testing in the engine test cellAct as the primary technical interface with internal and external MROs, suppliers, and OEMs for fuel controls, components.Conduct Design Change activities in support of obsolescence replacements and life improvementsProvide support to the Engine Test Cell during engine testsProvide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during engine strip and buildProvide Technical assistance and support to the maintenance and production teams.Manage and oversee aircraft projects including:
Installations, modifications and components related to engines test and production environmentsProject Budgeting, Intercompany coordination, vendor liaison/negotiationLiaise with the team leaders in charge of aircraft and flight lineAccurate and timely reporting to ensure cost and schedules are maintainedMaintain compliance with all company policies and proceduresPerform other related duties as requiredEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering5 years of experience in similar position, or equivalent experienceExperience in design, development, integration and/or certification of aircraft propulsion systems (military or commercial)Possess general knowledge of condition based maintenance techniquesPossess general knowledge of turbine engine maintenance programsKnowledge of aircraft and engine design rules and standardsKnowledge of aircraft design rules and standardsFluent with the Microsoft Office Suite.Possess effective interpersonal communication skillsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills to meet tight deadlinesFluent written and oral communications skills in EnglishProfessional proficiency in French, an assetAbility to perform all work in support of our Corporate Values of Safety, Teamwork, Focus, Innovation and IntegrityDemonstrates strong and visible support of our valuesWorking Conditions
