Intern, Operations Strategy, Industrial Engineering – Methods (Fall 2026)

Location:

Dorval Plant 3, Dorval, QC, Canada

Duration: 4 months

Work arrangement:
Hybrid

Contributions to the team
  • Elaborate the sequence of production activities for assembly work centers;
  • Balance manpower requirements according to organizational needs;
  • Observe and analyze shop floor activities to identify ratios of value‑added activities;
  • Identify, evaluate, and propose key performance indicators to measure productivity;
  • Identify and propose areas for improvement, participate in the problem‑solving process and implement solutions by involving team members;
  • Develop work charts to improve overall performance by defining sequencing and analyzing manufacturing needs;
  • Interact with several multifunctional teams.
How to thrive in this role
  • Student in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, logistics and operations management, or equivalent;
  • Interest in manufacturing processes, continuous improvement and value‑added production;
  • Project management skills;
  • High level of initiative, autonomy and innovation;
  • Knowledge of diagnostic and continuous improvement tools (VSM, material flow analysis, etc.);
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills in French and English;
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Project, Excel and PowerPoint).

Internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. Interns may occasionally be required to travel outside Canada for training/work purposes.
