Air Navigation Data Specialist

Become an integral part of Air Canada's success as a Navigation Data Specialist. Utilize your specialized knowledge in Flight Management Systems to maintain critical navigation integrity.

In your role, you will be responsible for the validation, governance, and operational readiness of Flight Management System (FMS) and Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS) databases for Air Canada’s fleet. As a technical authority, you'll ensure compliance with industry regulations and support safe flight operations. Your leadership in resolving navigation data issues will directly impact the safety and performance of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the governance of navigation data management

• Validate and authorize navigation databases

• Monitor changes and analyze data alerts

• Manage relations with FMS and TAWS vendors

• Support implementation of operational capabilities

Requirements:

• Diploma in aviation, engineering, or tech-related field

• At least 3 years’ experience in relevant aviation roles

• Proven expertise in navigation data operations

• Familiarity with ARINC 424 coding and standards

• Excellent communication and analytical skills
