Spécialiste en Conception Mécanique​/Mechanical Design Specialist; Mirabel

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical development of recent ground test equipment with a holistic approach.
• Oversee the update and maintenance of existing ground test equipment.
• Ensure the delivery of a fully integrated engineering solution for the system under test.
• Produce project status reports and ensure that engineering deliverables, meeting quality requirements, are provided on schedule.
• Apply knowledge to provide solutions to a variety of technical challenges of moderate scope and complexity, using a combination of judgment and defined practices and procedures.
• Collaborate with experienced, dynamic, and efficient multidisciplinary teams dedicated to projects to achieve results.
• Be actively involved in the realization of designs by supporting the manufacturing, assembly, installation, and validation phases of achievements as a designer.
• Implement continuous improvements of the tools or the development chain of tools.
• Work in collaboration with IV Toulouse.
• Provide cost and system evaluations.
• Ensure the maintenance and operation of the Flight Test Installation (FTI) to guarantee its availability and validity, in alignment with customer needs and by the FTI architecture and resources.

• Hold a bachelor''s degree or technical diploma in mechanical or aeronautical engineering with a minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in aerospace or the related industry.
• Strong knowledge of test bench design, manufacturing, detailed design (sheet metal, machined parts, welding, hydraulic piping, loading system, component assembly, and electrical harness installation), drafting procedures and standards.
• Good knowledge of CATIA V5R21 & up, ENOVIA, and Google tools is required.
• Familiar with electrical design, instrumentation, control panel design and instrumentation assemblies. Knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset.
• Energetic, autonomous person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will allow meeting desired results in a high-pressure working environment.
• High sense of commitment, willingness to accept responsibilities and act independently; ability to collaborate with partners and suppliers is an asset.
• French and English language knowledge (written and spoken) is an asset.
