Electrical Controls Designer in Canada

Join WSP’s Energy & Process team as an Electrical and Controls Designer. Contribute to energy transition projects while working collaboratively across Canada’s diverse energy systems.

Based in any WSP office throughout Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, or the Atlantic provinces, this role requires a solid background in electrical design. You will bring over 5 years of experience to generate accurate electrical drawings, support Power Generation Projects, and address complex energy infrastructure needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review P&IDs and develop precise electrical drawings

• Generate complete electrical drawing packages for approvals

• Evaluate RFQs and electrical contract documents

• Provide technical guidance for contractors in the field

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for project success

Requirements:

• Technical diploma in electrical engineering technology

• 5+ years of electrical design experience

• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of 3D CADD is a plus

• Detail-oriented mindset with a solution-focused approach

• Passionate about climate adaptation and resilient energy systems
