Position objective:
The Avionics Supervisor will be responsible for supervising functions assigned to the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft and components, parts and accessories in accordance with company policies, procedures and regulatory compliance, and reporting any discrepancies to the appropriate entity.
- Coordinate all avionics maintenance activities for business aircraft
- Work with coordinators to plan labor and avionics projects
- Work with team leads to supervise the production of all avionics activities
- Work with Quality Assurance to ensure aircraft documentation is complete and correct
- Ensure tooling, equipment and parts are available to maintenance personnel to perform assigned work efficiently and safely
- Review customer invoices, if required
- Participate in operations, maintenance and personnel meetings
- Plan avionics maintenance and staffing
- Play an active role in the safety management system
- Any other assigned duties
- Aircraft maintenance technician diploma or equivalent, minimum
- Valid Transport Canada Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) license;
CategoryE - Experience with a high degree of competency in developing Canadian engineering for Transport Canada approvals (SSTC, STC, SB, AD)
- Experience working with engineering firms and/or teams on avionics modifications with associated structural upgrades
- Certified experience with OEM avionics products and systems (Rockwell Collins, Universal Avionics, Honeywell, Garmin, L-3 Communications, GoGo, etc.)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to produce high-quality work both individually and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills; established network
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in avionics production support
