This full-time position involves working closely with engineers focused on Flight Dynamics for Planet's extensive satellite fleet. You will engage in mission design, maneuver execution, and conjunction assessment, ensuring optimal imaging schedules. Your analytical tools will help define future missions for the world's largest Earth Observation constellation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage mission design and orbit determination tasks
• Automate tools for analyzing design trade-offs
• Conduct maneuver design and execution tasks
• Participate in conjunction assessment and mitigation efforts
• Optimize scheduling for imaging and satellite contacts
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in space operations
• Proficient in C++ and Python for software development
• Strong communication skills for technical discussions
• Ability to perform first-principles analysis
