- Avionics Systems
Location: Administrative Centre (CA) – Bombardier office in Montreal.
Primary Responsibilities- Define and manage overall systems and subsystems requirements to ensure safety, certification, and aircraft design objectives are met.
- Collaborate with system suppliers and interfacing disciplines to ensure integrable system design.
- Integrate avionics systems (AFCS, communications, navigation, displays, information/maintenance & recording, cabin connectivity).
- Write, conduct or witness development and certification tests on aircraft and rigs.
- Review, analyze, and approve test results.
- Conduct and support ARP
4754 system and aircraft verification and validations. - Manage, review, and approve Avionics System Supplier deliverables.
- Liaise with Certifying Authorities to achieve system certification.
- Support Final Assembly Line and In‑Service Aircrafts for design‑related issues and bring them to closure.
- Participate in development and implementation of tools, processes, and software for crew alerting logic, synoptic pages, I/O configuration into an IMA environment, and automation of aircraft‑level functions.
- University degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of relevant avionics integration experience.
- Strong knowledge of Avionics Systems and how they integrate with the overall aircraft.
- Knowledge and/or experience with Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) systems (asset).
- Experience in specification, design, integration, test, and certification of avionics systems on aircraft.
- Familiarity with industry standards DO-178, DO-160, DO-254, and ARP
4754 (asset). - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, planning structure, and prioritization.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel.
Hybrid schedule with mandatory 2 days per week at the Bombardier office in Montreal.
