Location: Montreal
Take charge of high-precision motion stage architecture at Applied Materials. Lead end-to-end designs involving mechanical structure, actuation, and control systems in a dynamic environment.
As a Senior Precision Stage Architect, you will guide a multidisciplinary team and define control system architectures for high-precision stages. Your expertise will drive innovative solutions using servo/feedback control design and dynamic modeling to ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define and design precision-stage mechanical components
• Establish controls roadmap and performance targets
• Anticipate business issues to improve systems
• Specify position feedback and metrology integrations
• Solve complex engineering problems impacting the business
Requirements:
• BS/MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 10-15+ years in control theory and multi-axis motion
• Hands-on experience in mechatronic co-design
• Knowledge of 3D CAD design tools
• Proficiency in modeling tools like MATLAB/Simulink
