Lead the engineering team aboard Logos Hope as Chief Engineer, ensuring technical excellence and effective crisis management. Drive operational success with clear communication and prioritization skills.
As Chief Engineer, you are responsible for maintaining compliance with STCW Regulation III/2 standards.
Your role involves directing the engineering team, enabling each member to effectively contribute to the ship's operational efficiency. You will report non-technically to the vessel Director while also facilitating leadership collaboration on board.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with international engineering standards
• Direct engineering team and monitor task completion
• Manage technical problem-solving and crisis response
• Set and manage engineering priorities effectively
• Collaborate with senior leadership for departmental perspectives
Requirements:
• STCW Regulation III/2 certification
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Experience in problem solving and crisis management
• Planning skills for priority management
• Ability to uphold departmental morale and contribution
