As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of innovative, large-scale mechanical systems that help clients achieve their performance, resilience, and sustainability goals. You will work across a diverse portfolio, with a particular focus on district energy systems, central utility plants, and major mechanical equipment design and upgrades.

Your Impact   Design campus‑scale hydronic heating and cooling networks that support efficient, reliable, and resilient building operations.
Lead HVAC, hydronic, plumbing, and energy‑related building system designs from concept development through construction.
Advance the planning and design of district energy systems, thermal networks, and central utility plants that support more sustainable communities.
Evaluate and integrate major mechanical equipment, including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, heat pumps, and associated plant infrastructure.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and project stakeholders to deliver coordinated, high‑performing, and innovative solutions.
Develop technical studies, energy analyses, feasibility assessments, and equipment replacement strategies for new and existing facilities.
Guide junior team members through mentorship, technical knowledge sharing, and thoughtful project collaboration.
Shape resilient, low‑carbon buildings and infrastructure that create lasting value for clients, communities, and the environment.
The Skills That Set You Apart   Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
Professional Engineer licence in Ontario, or eligibility to obtain P.Eng. registration within a reasonable timeframe.
Five or more years of experience in consulting engineering, building systems design, or a related project delivery environment.
Demonstrated experience designing HVAC and hydronic systems, developing mechanical room layouts, and working with building mechanical infrastructure.
Experience supporting district energy systems, central utility plants, or initiatives involving large‑scale mechanical equipment.
Working knowledge of applicable building codes, energy standards, and recognized industry practices.
Proficiency with engineering design tools such as Caesar II and hydraulic design software, along with experience using BIM/Revit and Forma.
Strong technical communication and relationship‑building skills; experience with industrial controls is considered an asset.
