This full-time role in Ottawa seeks a specialist with a background in underwater acoustics and submarine detection. Your expertise in Airborne or Naval ASW, coupled with software and systems engineering experience, will greatly enhance product performance. You'll conduct acoustic data analysis, operational testing, and develop training programs for acoustic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design Operator Machine Interfaces for acoustic systems
• Conduct acoustic data and post-mission analysis
• Plan and execute operational testing events
• Develop training for experienced acoustics operators
• Create realistic scenarios for acoustic product testing
Requirements:
• Engineering degree or technologist diploma
• Operational experience as an acoustics subject matter expert
• Knowledge of passive and active classification skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration
• NATO clearance and travel availability
