As a Technical Director, you will provide invaluable subject matter expertise in hydropower turbine-generator technology. This seasoned professional position involves mentoring engineers, influencing capital decisions, and ensuring project success from feasibility through commissioning. Your strategic input and technical acumen are vital for fostering long-term capabilities in hydropower consultancy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a technical authority for hydro turbine-generator systems
• Lead feasibility analysis and identify technical risks
• Coordinate with design teams for turbine-generator integration
• Review OEM deliverables for compliance and performance
• Mentor junior engineers and transfer technical knowledge
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering
• P.Eng. designation in Canada or equivalent
• 15+ years in hydropower turbine-generator engineering
• Deep knowledge of industry standards and codes
• Experience in commissioning and performance testing
