SOCAN is seeking a full-time Event Assistant for a contract role from November 2026 to May 2027. This position requires a creative and organized individual to coordinate various tasks for the SOCAN Gala while working closely with the Gala Programming & Partnerships team.

Your role is crucial in ensuring a successful event that benefits music creators and maintains high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning the 2027 SOCAN Gala

• Compile and manage the invitation list and RSVPs

• Conduct background research for jury selection

• Prepare awards and coordinate with winners for details

• Organize video and music content for the show

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of event planning experience

• Bilingual fluency in English and French

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in Excel and Word

• Knowledge of the Quebec music ecosystem
