Position: Associate Total Wealth Planner - Montreal, QC

Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Associate Total Wealth Planner is to provide plan input support to Senior Total Wealth Planners in market and to provide full planning engagements (discovery to delivery) to existing clients of SWM with investable assets of less than a million.
Key Accountabilities:
Support the planning needs of the local Senior Total Wealth Planner by:
Inputting data and scenario modelling in the Conquest Planning softwareIdentifying and communicating referral opportunities within each planEnsuring that all financial plans assigned are accurate, and completed in a timely manner pursuant to a Service Level AgreementProvide Wealth Planning services directly to clients below the million dollar threshold by:
Completing the planning process from discovery to plan presentationConsulting with members of Team of Specialists to assist in uncovering appropriate strategies as appropriateWorking with Total Wealth Manager to promote the benefits of planningEnsuring that all financial plans assigned are accurate and completed in a timely mannerProactively support the financial planning needs of advisors/Relationship Managers of Scotia Wealth Management in their local market by:
Counselling on complex financial planning inquiriesAssisting or completing modelling in Conquest PlanningProviding answers on related issues such as tax, estate or retirement planningCoaching on financial plan presentationsHelping advisors identify referral opportunities within advisor completed plansExperience:
Strong understanding of the financial planning process including investments, asset protection, retirement, risk management, estate planning and tax planningExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsFinancial planning software experience,
Conquest Planning preferredExperience in client facing roles with the opportunity to provide financial servicesEducation/Skills/Designations:
Bilingualism in French and EnglishIQPF designation (strong asset)College or University degree“Pursuant to a language needs assessment conducted by Scotiabank, the successful candidate will be required to be able to communicate in English in addition to French because they will be required to work closely with other groups from head office who operate primarily in English and they will serve and English-speaking clientele.”
