About the Role  Rothmans, Benson & Hedges Inc. (RBH), subsidiary of Philip Morris International in Canada, is transforming its business to focus on smoke‑free products. This role will shape policy and regulatory strategy in a rapidly evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities   Build and manage relationships with key political stakeholders, including government officials, advisors, and relevant third parties, to advance regulatory and business objectives
Identify and engage influential stakeholders to shape regulatory and fiscal agendas
Monitor, analyze, and anticipate political and legislative developments to inform strategy and decision‑making
Develop and execute stakeholder engagement and advocacy campaigns
Lead and develop a high‑performing Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs team, fostering collaboration, capability building, and engagement
Ensure an effective organizational set‑up, optimizing resources and driving performance
Ensure all activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and RBH & PMI policies and standards
Qualifications  We are seeking an experienced government relations leader with a proven ability to shape policy, influence stakeholders, and advance business priorities in complex, regulated environments.
Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, or related field is an asset
8–12+ years of experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, or public policy
Proven track record of engaging and influencing senior government stakeholders
Strong understanding of Canadian political and regulatory environments
Experience developing and executing policy and advocacy strategies
Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Experience in highly regulated industries is an asset

Salary: $215,600 CAD per year (base).
