Become an Expert Archivist with the Senate of Canada and play a vital role in preserving our democratic history. This position is full-time and indeterminate, focusing on strategic archival management.
As an Expert Archivist, you will oversee the Senate's Archival functions, providing critical insights and expert recommendations to management. With a minimum of 7 years of experience in archival management, you will drive policy changes and implement best practices while maintaining the integrity of historical records. This role requires strong client service and analytical skills to foster relationships with senators and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Curate and manage Senate's archival collections
• Offer authoritative guidance to senior leadership
• Preserve historical documents and acts of Parliament
• Advise on archive-specific project coordination
• Foster relationships and establish service standards
Requirements:
• Preferably a Master’s degree in archival science
• Minimum 7 years of archival management experience
• Extensive knowledge of preservation techniques
• Excellent analytical and research skills
• Proficient in both English and French
