This full-time role in Ottawa focuses on advocacy and developing policy positions. Collaborate with FVGC staff and Working Group chairs to influence key regulatory issues affecting the fruit and vegetable sector. Your expertise in drafting responses and conducting regulatory analysis will be essential in shaping the future of agriculture in Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop policy positions on priority issues
• Draft formal responses to federal consultations
• Conduct regulatory analysis supporting advocacy
• Support and collaborate with FVGC Working Groups
• Represent FVGC at industry and government events
Requirements:
• 5-7 years experience with member-based organizations
• Excellent written communication skills
• Strong project management abilities
• Knowledge of Canadian federal policy
• Ability to read and write in French (asset)
Lead advocacy efforts and policy development to support Canada's fruit and vegetable growers at FVGC.
