Drive climate action initiatives with the Canadian Climate Institute as the Lead in Government and External Relations. Engage effectively with government and community stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be positioned in the Ottawa area and responsible for crafting outreach strategies that advance climate and energy policy discussions.
Your role will include collaboration with the Executive team to ensure a unified approach to governmental relations and external engagement. This position is pivotal in shaping the Institute’s public presence and influence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate comprehensive engagement planning with external partners
• Monitor policy issues at the federal and provincial levels
• Create polished communication materials for stakeholders
• Maintain CRM updates for government outreach contacts
• Represent the Institute in high-level meetings and functions
Requirements:
• 5+ years in government relations or public engagement
• Proven ability to manage relationships with government officials
• Bachelor’s degree in political science or relevant field
• High proficiency in both English and French
• Strong organizational and project management skills
Utilize your strategic insight into government processes to strengthen the Canadian Climate Institute's advocacy for sustainable policies.
