Position: Sentrex Health Solutions Orthoptist Role
Become part of the Sentrex Health Solutions team as a Fixed-Term Orthoptist in Ottawa. This position emphasizes an integrated approach to treat visual challenges in patients within a collaborative environment.

As an Orthoptist, you will work under the guidance of an ophthalmologist, conducting assessments and implementing treatment strategies for disorders like strabismus.

Your role encompasses patient-focused care, where you'll operate independently and provide detailed follow-ups. Contributing to both clinic activities and educational initiatives will be essential in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate visual function and eye movement issues

• Carry out orthoptic assessments and develop treatment plans

• Engage in patient advocacy and education programs

• Mentor and teach healthcare team members

• Respond to patient inquiries and emergencies

Requirements:

• Registration with the Canadian Orthoptic Council

• Membership in the Canadian Orthoptic Society

• Ophthalmic Technology certification required

• Proven teaching and communication skills
