Location: Montreal
Support patient medication safety as a Pharmacy Technician in Mackenzie Health's Chronic Kidney Disease Program. Your expertise will strengthen medication management in patient care.
In this appointment, you will provide Best Possible Medication History (BPMH) for patients in CKD clinics and participate in technical tasks related to medication distribution.
Your role includes collaboration with Clinical Pharmacists and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform medication distribution to care areas using automated cabinets
• Conduct patient BPMH for accurate medication reconciliation
• Respond to patient and staff queries promptly
• Issue narcotics and maintain accurate control records
• Assist in managing the department's medication inventory
Requirements:
• Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with Ontario College of Pharmacists
• Diploma from an accredited pharmacy program or similar
• Strong attendance and adherence to safety protocols
• Empathetic engagement with patients and caregivers
• Experience in performing BPMH is a plus
