The role

As Alto continues its rapid growth, we are seeking a highly organized and customer service-oriented Coordinator, HR Operations to support the efficiency, consistency, and scalability of our people processes.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Business Partnership, Talent & Culture, the Coordinator serves as a central point of coordination for employee lifecycle transactions, recruitment operations, onboarding activities, HR data and system management. This role plays a critical part in ensuring an exceptional employee and candidate experience while maintaining the integrity of HR processes, data and systems.

The responsibilities
Employee Lifecycle Administration
  • Administer employee transactions within the HRIS (
    Success Factors
    ), including hires, internal transfers, promotions, reporting changes, organizational updates, and terminations.
  • Create and maintain positions, departments, and organizational structures within the HRIS.
  • Prepare employment documentation, including employment change letters, and other employee correspondence.
  • Coordinate offboarding activities and liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of termination processes.
  • Prepare recurring HR metrics, dashboards, and reports for leadership and governance committees.
  • Support HR compliance activities, audits, and data validation exercises.
Recruitment Operations
  • Create and manage job requisitions within the HRIS.
  • Coordinate job postings across internal and external channels.
  • Schedule intake meetings, interviews, and candidate assessments.
  • Manage recruitment inboxes and respond to candidate inquiries.
  • Prepare offer letters and subsequent candidate communications.
  • Support Talent Acquisition partners with operational recruitment activities, including reporting requirements.
Onboarding Activities
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new employees.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation sessions.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners’ teams to deliver a positive and seamless onboarding experience.
The requirements
  • College diploma (DEC) in Human Resources, Administration, or a related field, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in HR coordination or HR operations within a corporate, fast-paced environment.
  • Systems-savvy and naturally curious, with a strong interest in HR data and technology and operational excellence.
  • Experience working with an HRIS System (
    Success Factors is preferred)
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Customer-focused approach with a collaborative and proactive mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
