We are currently seeking a driven Bilingual Human Resources Business Partner to be part of their continued growth and success. This is a hybrid role, working in office 4 days per week.

Here’s what you will do:
  • Provide HR guidance and support to managers and employees across a broad range of human resources matters, including employee relations, performance management, policies, and workplace concerns.
  • Conduct and support employee relations investigations, including matters related to workplace conduct, harassment, discrimination, and other sensitive issues.
  • Provide recommendations and follow-up related to investigations and employee relations matters, ensuring appropriate and timely resolution.
  • Advise employees and leadership on the interpretation and application of HR policies, procedures, and applicable employment legislation.
  • Support workplace health and safety initiatives, including compliance, education, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Assist managers and employees with disability management, workplace accommodation, and safe and timely return-to-work processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to leaders on employee concerns, complaints, performance issues, and other workplace matters.
  • Partner closely with leaders and internal HR teams, including recruitment, compensation, benefits, and learning and development.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with external partners and service providers, including recruitment agencies, insurance providers, and workplace safety organizations.
  • Support employee development initiatives, career discussions, and exit interview processes as required.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on HR data and trends to support informed decision-making and organizational improvements.
  • Ensure HR practices remain compliant with applicable employment legislation, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to HR projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement activities as required.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as needed.
Here’s what we are looking for:
  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 5 or more years of progressive, generalized HR experience with preference to experience in construction, trades, and/or service-based industries with multiple locations in Canada
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in investigations, mediations, and alternative dispute resolution
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of federal labour and employment law, Employment Equity, Canadian Human Rights Code, Canada Labour Code Part II. Strong knowledge of Quebec and Ontario legislation specifically is required.
  • Knowledge of applicable provincial workplace insurance compliance requirements
  • Intermediate level of experience with ATS, HRIS and Timekeeping systems (i.e., UKG, Workday)
  • Proven ability to be proactive and work with minimal supervision, and to make sound decisions/judgements
