Montreal Labour and Employee Relations Lead

Location: Montreal (administrative region)

Take a leadership role in employee relations at Swissport Canada, located in Montreal, as the Labour and Employee Relations Manager. Drive strategic HR initiatives in a hybrid work model tailored for operational efficiency.

This position directly reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and requires you to apply your extensive knowledge in labour relations within a unionized environment. You will guide senior management on employee matters, ensuring consistent applications of policies, and enhancing employee satisfaction through effective strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Train managers on HR policies and collective agreements

• Manage the lifecycle of workplace accommodations

• Participate in preparing for and attending arbitration cases

• Address complaints and initiate resolutions

• Monitor trends in employee relations to recommend improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or Industrial Relations

• At least 5 years of HR experience focused on labour relations

• CHRP designation is strongly preferred

• Proven ability to engage stakeholders effectively

• Extensive knowledge of Canadian employment laws
