Senior System Specialist; Cloud

Position: Senior System Specialist (Cloud)
Location: Kirkland

The  Senior Cloud Infrastructure Specialist  is responsible for the design, implementation, and evolution of Future’s enterprise cloud ecosystem, with a primary focus on  Microsoft Azure  and  Microsoft 365 . This role acts as a bridge in our hybrid environment, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises legacy systems and modern cloud-native solutions.

As a senior technical lead, you will oversee cloud governance and provide expert-level support for our  Azure VMware Solution (AVS)  and  Intune  environments. You will play a functional role in mentoring team members and spearheading strategic projects to ensure high availability, robust security, and global scalability.

What you’ll be working on
Senior Cloud Specialist & Hybrid Integration
Azure:  Design and deploy highly available infrastructure within Azure, ensuring alignment with cloud governance and Well-Architected Framework standards.

Modernization:  Orchestrate the migration of on-premises infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) where required.

Modern Management:  Work closely with the O365 team in technologies like:

Microsoft Intune , overseeing global device enrollment, configuration profiles, and application deployments.

Identity & Entra :  Manage identity and access across hybrid environments, specializing in  Microsoft Entra  (formerly Azure AD) , B2B/B2C, and Conditional Access policies

M365 Ecosystem:  Advanced configuration of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams (including Phone System), and SharePoint/One Drive.

Maintain and optimize Azure IaaS for enterprise-scale security by implementing robust subscription governance, enforcing resource tags and Azure Policies for compliance, and utilizing a well‑structured Resource Group hierarchy to ensure granular Role‑Based Access Control (RBAC) and cost management.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):  Leverage  Power Shell  and  Python  to automate repetitive tasks, deployments, and system audits.

Incident Response:  Collaborate with the Security Operations team to resolve complex security incidents and conduct vulnerability assessments.

Technical Leadership:  Develop operational procedures and technical documentation to "operationalize" new cloud services.

Mentorship:  Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to junior and mid‑level system administrators.

Escalation:  Act as a Level 3 escalation point for complex system issues and participate in a senior‑level on‑call rotation.

We’re looking for someone with

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

10+ years of experience in systems administration with a focus on Windows environments.

Strong expertise in VMWare, Azure, SAN storage, Windows security, and O365 administration.

Linux experience would be an asset.

Proficiency in Power Shell scripting languages

Solid knowledge of networking principles and troubleshooting.
