Role context
As part of digital transformation and data-driven initiatives for our clients, CGI is seeking an Intermediate Data Architect to contribute to the design, evolution, and governance of modern data architectures.
This role is ideal for a professional with hands-on experience in data architecture who is looking to grow within complex enterprise environments while working closely with both business and IT teams.
Key responsibilities
Data architecture & design
• Contribute to the design and evolution of data architectures, including data platforms, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Perform data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical) aligned with business requirements.
• Help define architecture standards, data models, and integration patterns.
• Collaborate on the implementation of data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, and consumption).
• Ensure consistency, data quality, performance, and scalability of data solutions.
Collaboration & delivery
• Work closely with data engineers, analytics teams, application architects, and security teams.
• Participate in workshops with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Contribute to architecture documentation and best practices.
• Operate in both French- and English-speaking client environments.
Required profile
Experience & skills
• Relevant professional experience in data architecture or data engineering with architectural responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles, modeling, and integration.
• Experience with modern data environments, including cloud platforms, analytical systems, and relational and/or No
SQL databases.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and security concepts.
• Ability to work effectively in complex, multidisciplinary client environments.
Language skills
• Bilingual in French and English is required, due to interaction with clients and teams in both languages.
Assets
• Experience in digital or analytics transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with analytics or visualization tools is an asset.
• Data or cloud certifications are considered an asset.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications.
