Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Deskside support technician to join the team in their Montreal, QC location.

Overview:

Our client is seeking a Bilingual Senior Deskside Support Technician to join their team to assist with internal requirements. This candidate will work independently to support internal SLA’s for IT Technical Services

The successful candidate will:

-Perform intermediate-to-advanced hardware break-fix services on PCs, laptops, network printers, and servers, etc.

-Perform intermediate-to-advanced IMAC (installs, moves, add, changes), services: hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other hardware deployment related activities on PCs, laptops, printers, POS devices, etc.

-Perform intermediate-to-advanced desk-side support services installing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network related issues

-Perform intermediate-to-advanced LAN and internetworking related activities

-Handle software installation/support/upgrades

-Provide 3rd level Help Desk support

-Respond/update/close calls from National Dispatch/Call Management Center

-Communicate with customers to diagnose problem, establish E.T.A., and parts requirements

Required Skills and Experience includes:

-Have 5+ years of IMAC experience doing hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other deployment related activities

-Have 5+ years of desk-side support experience

-Have 5+ years of break-fix experience

-Have 5+ years of internetworking experience

-Have A+ certification & at least one certification from either Cisco or Microsoft

-May have other vendor certifications from OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP)

-Must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage multiple tasks

-Can act in a Team Lead capacity

-Exceptional customer service skills

-Good communication skills

-Ability to work independently or as part of a team

-Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision

-Must be available to work flexible work schedules

-Must have a minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program.

-Bilingual in English and French

Qualifications:

-Working knowledge of IT Network architectures and infrastructures
-Working knowledge of System Admin functions
-Working knowledge of ticketing apps (BMC Remedy or other)

-Working knowledge of Virtualized Server and workstation environments (VMWare & Microsoft Hyper

V)
-Working knowledge of Active Directory

-Working knowledge of 2008R2 Servers, must be able to create DFS files

-Working knowledge of switch technologies (Cisco)

-Working knowledge of Exchange 2007

-Working knowledge of Network Admin functions
-PC literacy and familiarity with MS WORD and EXCEL;
-Solid communication skills (French) preferably bilingual but must at least be functional in English

-Support experience in a private or public sector company with great people skills.
