Essential Functions
  • Review, critique, and approve software engineering documentation including Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), Software Design Documents (SDD), Software Verification Plans (SVP), and Software Configuration Management Plans (SCMP) for standards compliance and technical accuracy;

  • Perform peer reviews of software artefacts, identify deviations from plans and standards, and work with authors to resolve findings in a constructive and traceable manner;
  • Maintain and oversee the Software Configuration Management (SCM) function — baseline definition, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits — in accordance with ISO 12207 and project-specific SCMPs;
  • Define, tailor, and improve software development processes and lifecycle models to suit project context, certification level, and contractual obligations;
  • Actively participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle — requirements, design, implementation, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance — as a process authority and technical contributor;
  • Liaise with clients, certification authorities (e.g., Transport Canada, DND), partners, and internal project teams to align on process expectations, compliance strategies, and technical deliverables.

  • Proficiency with .NET technologies (Framework, Core, ASP.NET, Blazor) or equivalent stack;
  • Experience with SCM tools (Azure Dev Ops, Git, Clear Case, or equivalent) and formal SCM processes;
