Position: MGIS High Performance Computing Administrator

Impact scientific research as a High Performance Computing System Administrator at MGIS, helping maintain and support HPC clusters effectively. This is an opportunity to empower scientists with robust IT solutions.

In this Level 2 position, your primary focus will be managing HPC environments, including supporting applications and resolving user issues. You'll work directly with researchers to understand their needs while maintaining system integrity through monitoring and troubleshooting. Your hands-on experience will significantly enhance the efficacy of research conducted on these computational platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer HPC cluster hardware, networking, and backups

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues for reliable operations

• Coordinate with scientists to meet their HPC requirements

• Support and debug applications run by researchers

• Document tasks and processes for knowledge sharing

Requirements:

• Expertise in managing Linux-based HPC clusters

• Experience with job scheduling systems like Torque and SLURM

• Proficient in troubleshooting CUDA and GPU technical issues

• Familiarity with scientific software build tools

• Strong documentation skills for technical processes
