Join a partner company as a Lead Data Platform Engineer in Canada. This remote role focuses on leading the architecture and evolution of large-scale data platforms while leveraging German language skills.
As an experienced data platform engineer, you will oversee a cloud-native data platform, managing its architecture, operations, and long-term roadmap. Key capabilities include enhancing scalability, reliability, and driving AI-assisted engineering workflows, all while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to fulfill business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own platform strategy from ingestion to analytics delivery
• Optimize the cloud-native platform for performance and cost
• Oversee data ingestion, modeling, and quality assurance
• Strengthen observability with effective monitoring practices
• Define engineering standards for documentation and coding
Requirements:
• 5+ years in Data Engineering or related fields
• Proficiency in Go for backend services
• Experience in Google Cloud Platform services
• Strong SQL skills with analytical modeling
• Fluent in German (C1 level) with English communication
