Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction, leadership and support for category management and strategic sourcing to achieve corporate objectives
- Develop, present and maintain relevant strategies for sub-categories (contingent workforce, business services, IT services)
- Translate plans into a 12-month rolling pipeline of strategic sourcing projects to prioritize and maintain in Dev Ops
- Execute sourcing projects in compliance with the established strategic framework
- Conduct business reviews with strategic suppliers on a defined cadence
- Develop and strengthen strategic relationships with key stakeholders
- Promote GPSM’s value by identifying collaboration opportunities
- Negotiate contracts with new and existing suppliers (in collaboration with Legal) to achieve optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and savings objectives
- Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives focused on agile, pragmatic principles
- Act as an effective change agent, working with senior leadership and business teams to support sustainable change
- Collaborate with business leaders to balance cost, risk and speed while meeting objectives
- Be a driving force for change in a fast-evolving environment
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in procurement and supply chain management
- Proven experience in corporate services procurement
- Knowledge of IT procurement
- University degree in procurement, business administration, finance, engineering or a related field
- Relevant certifications (ISM CPSM, CIPS, SCMP, etc.) – an asset
- Excellent negotiation skills and strong business acumen
- Results-oriented and customer-focused
- Agile and able to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a dynamic environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate with authority
- Ability to interact with predominantly English-speaking stakeholders
- Self-directed, able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Genuine curiosity about business needs and the impact of solutions
- Proactive attitude and initiative
- Unimpeachable professional ethics and political awareness
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Oracle ERP/P2P
- Experience with SAP and Ariba – preferred
- Proficiency with digital tools in general
- Bilingual (French and English) – spoken and written
