Location: Montreal West

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction, leadership and support for category management and strategic sourcing to achieve corporate objectives
  • Develop, present and maintain relevant strategies for sub-categories (contingent workforce, business services, IT services)
  • Translate plans into a 12-month rolling pipeline of strategic sourcing projects to prioritize and maintain in Dev Ops
  • Execute sourcing projects in compliance with the established strategic framework
  • Conduct business reviews with strategic suppliers on a defined cadence
  • Develop and strengthen strategic relationships with key stakeholders
  • Promote GPSM’s value by identifying collaboration opportunities
  • Negotiate contracts with new and existing suppliers (in collaboration with Legal) to achieve optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and savings objectives
  • Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives focused on agile, pragmatic principles
  • Act as an effective change agent, working with senior leadership and business teams to support sustainable change
  • Collaborate with business leaders to balance cost, risk and speed while meeting objectives
  • Be a driving force for change in a fast-evolving environment
Requirements
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in procurement and supply chain management
  • Proven experience in corporate services procurement
  • Knowledge of IT procurement
  • University degree in procurement, business administration, finance, engineering or a related field
  • Relevant certifications (ISM CPSM, CIPS, SCMP, etc.) – an asset
  • Excellent negotiation skills and strong business acumen
  • Results-oriented and customer-focused
  • Agile and able to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate with authority
  • Ability to interact with predominantly English-speaking stakeholders
  • Self-directed, able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Genuine curiosity about business needs and the impact of solutions
  • Proactive attitude and initiative
  • Unimpeachable professional ethics and political awareness
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with Oracle ERP/P2P
  • Experience with SAP and Ariba – preferred
  • Proficiency with digital tools in general
  • Bilingual (French and English) – spoken and written
