Purpose of the roleReporting to the IT Projects and Continuous Improvement Director, the IT Project Management and Business Analysis Team Lead will be responsible for managing the project team for both small- and large-scale initiatives, ranging from simple to highly complex. The incumbent will oversee all aspects of management, development design, configuration, and implementation. In addition, they will be responsible for managing IT Project Managers and IT Business Analysts.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the overall project portfolio, including the publication of status reports and the management of resources associated with various projects, covering all project-related aspects such as scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Supervise and manage project teams and plans while directing and monitoring project-related efforts.
- Identify resource needs (both human and technical), measure and ensure project quality control, and elevate quality or timeline issues to the appropriate committees.
- Guide and support Business Analysts in providing consulting expertise to business units to maintain and improve internal processes. Proactively identify opportunities and gaps in current processes in connection with the company’s IT solutions.
- Motivate, guide, evaluate, coach, and develop team members’ skills and potential while acting as a leader, sharing a clear vision to ensure employee engagement and contribution to business success. Recruit as needed for the team.
- Monitor major project milestones and adjust plans and resources accordingly.
- Coordinate all project-related communications.
- Manage project risks and budgets.
- Understand and master business processes across various units, as well as the systems in place and their integrations.
- Recommend alternatives and ensure business units make the right decisions by properly identifying their needs.
- Help establish ROI for different change requests.
- Analyze software products and applications based on business requirements and ensure the effective use of solutions.
- Stay up to date on new trends in project management and business analysis.
- Work closely with senior management to provide direction, support, and advice on the optimal use of resources to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure that all technical aspects of software and business processes are effectively integrated to meet the needs and requirements of the different business units.
- Build strong business relationships with partners and vendors to maximize their contribution to the company.
