Location: Montreal
Lead operational tool enhancements at Morgan Stanley as a Dev Ops Advisor in Montreal, QC. Utilize your Perl or Python coding skills to support global IT workflows effectively.
As part of the IaaS Platform Engineering team, you'll be engaged for over 6 months enhancing daily operational tools crucial to our extensive database operations. You'll ensure the efficient management of our 50,000 node heterogeneous environment and collaborate with talented developers and operations specialists. Your focus will be on test-driven development and leveraging modern methodologies to support our existing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and enhance tools for large scale operational use
• Address production issues in Unix environments
• Automate using robust scripts in Perl and Python
• Work with configuration management frameworks
• Facilitate daily tools’ usage for system administrators
Requirements:
• Solaris 11 Systems Administrator experience
• Solid grasp of Unix systems and networking frameworks
• Familiarity with configuration management like Ansible or Puppet
• Skilled in writing maintainable scripts
• Excellent troubleshooting across hardware and software
