Cerence Site Reliability Engineering Lead

Location: Montreal

Champion site reliability at Cerence as the SRE Team Lead and ensure the operational excellence of automotive AI platforms. Drive the reliability roadmap while cultivating a motivated team environment.

In this Principal SRE position, you hold the reins on reliability practices, guiding your team to maintain service health and robustness in cloud-native applications. Collaborating closely with development leads, you will integrate reliability into every layer of the software lifecycle. You will also be pivotal during major incidents, establishing a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mentor and technically develop Site Reliability Engineers

• Drive metrics, dashboards, and automation initiatives

• Serve as the Tier 2 escalation for major incidents

• Lead blameless postmortem and improvement efforts

• Establish reliability standards with exceptional metrics

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years in SRE, Dev Ops, or cloud roles

• Expertise with Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker

• Strong background in CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code

• Proficient in UNIX/Linux configurations and debugging

• Excellent English communication skills
