Location: Montreal
Become an essential part of Google's Hardware Operations team as a Data Center Operations Technician. Engage in troubleshooting and maintenance of cutting-edge data center hardware while meeting security screening requirements.
This key role focuses on installing, configuring, and maintaining data center infrastructure. Candidates should have experience in diagnosing operating systems or computer hardware, and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving equipment. Flexibility in work hours is essential, allowing for weekends and night shifts as required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deploy and operate new data center infrastructure projects
• Troubleshoot straightforward issues with equipment and infrastructure
• Maintain data integrity and track media for security compliance
• Disassemble equipment for maintenance or end-of-life procedures
• Perform preventative maintenance on servers and infrastructure
Requirements:
• Eligibility for a valid security clearance from the Government of Canada
• Experience with component-level repairs and troubleshooting
• Ability to lift/move 50 lbs and exert physically over time
• 2 years of experience in relevant technical areas
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours
