Lead legal expertise in technology and digital services with MNP as a Legal Counsel. This role focuses on commercial contracts, software procurement, and compliance across sectors.
MNP is a leading Canadian national accounting, tax, and business advisory firm, seeking a Legal Counsel for its Technology & Digital team. This position involves supporting IT and digital service delivery by advising on contracts and compliance. You will be instrumental in mitigating risks related to software agreements, data privacy, and cybersecurity while driving operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support IT resource group with contract lifecycle management
• Provide pragmatic legal advice on technology-related matters
• Draft and negotiate various commercial agreements
• Advise on emerging technology risks, including AI privacy concerns
• Research regulatory issues to guide decision-making
Requirements:
• Minimum four years post-call legal experience
• Strong knowledge of software licensing and cloud agreements
• Bilingual in French and English for effective communication
• Solid grasp of intellectual property and data protection laws
• Proven ability to deliver risk-based advice
