AI Prompt and Content Editor

Location: Montreal

Shape AI quality remotely as a Generalist Expert, using prompt design, editing, and critical thinking across varied topics. Work independently on an asynchronous schedule.
Mercor seeks an independent contractor for approximately two weeks, with potential extension. You will create prompts, review AI responses, and improve model performance through structured iterations. The work spans summaries, question-and-answer content, synthesis tasks, and benchmarking. Clear communication and careful reasoning are central to the assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Create base prompts across generalist topics
Review AI responses for clarity and accuracy
Develop prompt-response iterations with varied styles
Identify model failure points during benchmarking
Apply quality standards across diverse content types
Requirements:
Two or more years in research, education, writing, editing, or adjacent fields
Communicate complex topics clearly and concisely
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and critical thinking
Work independently with evolving task guidelines
Familiarity with LLMs or AI-assisted writing tools preferred
Use prompt development, precise editing, and analytical judgment to help Mercor improve AI-generated responses remotely and independently.
