Job description

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a supply chain and quality manager to join our General Procurement team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work closely with Airbus Procurement and multifunctional teams (Canada, USA and Europe).

You will be part of the General Procurement team and accountable to guarantee the full cradle-to-grave performance management of all aircraft-related strategic, risky and/or critical suppliers in your scope. Your role as supply chain and quality manager will be to:

Your challenges Supplier Control – 30%
  • Manage and perform all activities for supplier approval, qualification and surveillance in scope.
  • Act as Quality Responsible for Supplier Control Reviews, supplier approval and final qualification declaration.
  • Monitor product/service qualification and recovery actions as needed.
  • Follow up using Airbus standard tools in accordance with General Procurement and Airbus policies, processes and procedures.
  • Keep all supplier quality data up to date and interface with aviation regulations, perform gap analyses and follow up action plans.
  • Maintain supplier lists entering AIRBUS POA scope in collaboration with buyers and internal requesters.
  • Perform or support process audits at supplier sites for qualification, surveillance and compliance purposes.
  • Support supplier approval, qualification & surveillance locally for POA/DOA scopes as defined in Airbus processes (M20193).
  • Support Supplier CID missions or interface them with the organisation in charge of improvement activities at suppliers, in line with GP strategy.
  • Manage periodic and exceptional reviews with Airbus organizations and stakeholders to review supplier quality assurance and compliance to Airbus business requirements (including external referentials such as EN9100).
Supplier Selection – 30%
  • Apply GP supply chain performance supplier selection process, including:
    Evaluate suppliers for compliance with supply chain quality requirements via standard or specific assessments.
  • Complete supply chain performance selection reports including ranking, evaluation results, prior performance and supplier risk analysis.
  • Coordinate with SCQM and POA/DOA supplier control for aircraft-related activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. EASA, TCCA).
Supplier Performance Management – 10%
  • Ensure OTD (on time delivery) and OQD (on quality delivery) performance indicators and implement corrective activities as needed (CID).
  • Regularly monitor supplier delivery and quality performance and run performance reviews with high-risk/strategic suppliers.
  • Perform or coordinate supplier assessments to evaluate capability/capacity and manage supplier action plans following assessments or improvement missions.
  • Contribute to the definition of strategic supplier segmentation.
Supplier Risk Management – 20%
  • Manage, identify and mitigate supplier-level risks by performing on-site capability assessments (e.g. ESCCA+).
  • Manage specific internal-customer work package risk and ensure prioritization of mitigation actions through CID or SQIP.
Supplier Development and Improvement Management – 10%
  • Enhance supplier relationships by supporting robustness in their supply chains and creating continuous improvement plans or roadmaps.
  • Improve supplier performance by implementing advanced actions and supporting the Supply Chain & Quality Improvement Program in line with GP strategy and objectives.
  • Liaise with other Supply Chain and Quality Managers (SCQM) to define further activities required at supplier sites.
  • Propose, define and launch improvement plans with suppliers to continuously improve performance and/or capability.
Your profile

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be accepted.

Ideally five (5) years in Procurement, Quality or related functions, with progressively increasing responsibility.

Fluency in written and verbal French and English.
