Equipment & Systems Buyer (f/m)

We are seeking an experienced Procurement professional to join the A220 Commercial Aircraft Programme in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada. The role is fully integrated with the Airbus Procurement teams based in Toulouse (France) and Hamburg (Germany).

• Manage the procurement portfolio and processes for the designated scope, including flight simulators for the A220.
• Define, develop and implement product and sourcing strategies to achieve cost‑reduction objectives.
• Coordinate and align cross‑functional stakeholder groups (engineering, program, finance, supply chain, etc.) as part of the multi‑functional team (MFT).
• Administer contract(s), including monitoring implementation, ensuring compliance with contractual conditions throughout the life cycle, negotiating change requests or modifications (MOD/PCR), and updating contracts as needed.
• Lead the assessment of supplier performance across logistics, support, quality, cost and other dimensions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Report functionally to the Commodity Leader (SCL) in Toulouse and hierarchically to the A220 Equipment & Systems Procurement Manager in Mirabel.

• Procurement experience essential; strong business, technical or domain expertise and familiarity with the procurement process also welcomed.
• Experience working in a multi‑functional environment and influencing internal customers.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Commercial, contract and financial knowledge required.
• Professional proficiency in English; additional languages considered an asset.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the US and Europe.
• Awareness of compliance risks and a commitment to integrity.
