The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for an Equipment & Systems Buyer – Air Management System to join our procurement team based in Mirabel, Québec, Canada. You will work jointly with the Airbus Procurement team based in Hamburg, Germany.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute procurement strategies for Air Management Systems (AMS) for the A220.
- Manage the procurement portfolio and the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, contracting and supplier performance.
- Coordinate and align the multi‑functional team (engineering, program, finance, supply chain, etc.) and contribute to the multi‑functional team (MFT) that encompasses air systems for all Airbus programmes.
- Administer contract(s) including monitoring contract implementation, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and managing change requests throughout the contract life cycle.
- Drive product and sourcing strategy definition and implementation to support cost reduction objectives.
- Report functionally to the Commodity Leader (SCL) based in Hamburg, and hierarchically to the Head of A220 Procurement Equipment and Systems based in Mirabel.
- Procurement experience is essential; business, technical and commercial experience is also welcomed.
- Experience working in a multi‑functional environment.
- Experience managing internal customers and influencing stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Commercial, contract and finance knowledge.
- English proficiency required; other languages are an asset.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to the US and Europe.
- Awareness of compliance risks and commitment to act with integrity.
