We are seeking a Procurement Team Lead to provide functional leadership for a team of procurement professionals supporting both the tendering and execution of Grid Technologies projects throughout North America.
How You’ll Make An Impact- Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to procurement professionals to enhance their skills, drive performance, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
- Provide guidance and support for project procurement activities during both tendering and execution phases.
- Ensure alignment with procurement processes, governance requirements, and business objectives while supporting teams in managing complex commercial negotiations and supplier engagements.
- Promote best practices in sourcing, contracting, risk management, and serve as an escalation point for procurement and commercial challenges.
- Foster strong collaboration and alignment across Project Management, Engineering, Sales, Construction, Finance, Legal, and Quality teams to support effective decision-making and build trusted relationships within the business.
- Support workload balancing, resource planning, and team effectiveness while driving continuous improvement initiatives to simplify processes and enhance productivity.
- Foster a culture of innovation by promoting the use of digital tools, data analytics, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or an equivalent field, along with 10+ years of progressive procurement experience in a project environment.
- Possesses a positive, solution-driven approach with the ability to coach, develop, and empower procurement professionals to achieve business objectives and career growth, while fostering a culture of accountability, trust, and continuous learning.
- Strong ability to build trusted relationships across a matrix organization and effectively partner with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Finance, Legal, and Sales organizations. Proven capability to influence decisions, align diverse stakeholders, and drive outcomes without direct authority.
- Deep understanding of commercial drivers within project-based businesses, including project profitability, total cost of ownership, supplier economics, and value creation opportunities. Ability to balance cost, schedule, quality, and risk considerations when making procurement decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate commercial, contractual, and supply chain risks. Skilled at supporting contract negotiations, resolving commercial issues, and making risk-based decisions that protect project and business objectives.
- Ability to connect day-to-day operational activities with broader business goals and long‑term organizational priorities. Skilled at anticipating challenges, identifying opportunities, and developing practical solutions to support sustainable business growth.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally to suppliers, factories, and project sites.
