Location: MontrealThe Maintenance Manager will lead the development and implementation of the overall maintenance program for the manufacturing and packaging equipment. Reporting directly to the Maintenance & Reliability Director, this position will collaborate with the plants and business leaders to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the maintenance function to increase machine reliability and reduce downtime.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Develop and implement agile activities, new techniques and methodologies to drive reliability and improvement within the maintenance functionServe as a change agent for maintenance reliability initiatives by driving cultural transformation and adoption of continuous improvement practicesPromote team work and collaborationEstablish road map, work standards and best practices to eliminate operational wasteEnsure compliance with maintenance systems, processes and proceduresEstablish and manage key metrics to ensure maintenance programs are being adequately executed and performantOptimize reporting tools and methods for operational KPI’s Ensures effective and timely communications for sharing of best practices and key’s learnings.Manage monthly cost tracking activities to remain on budget and perform employee performance evaluation.As the manager of the housekeeping department, your mission would be to supervise and coordinate cleaning and maintenance tasks in the manufacturing, packaging, laboratory, and warehouse areas. You’ll ensure that the spaces are clean, organized, and compliant with safety and hygiene standards.Skills, knowledge and abilities
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline10+ years of experience within pharmaceutical industry in manufacturing maintenanceExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skillsExperience working in a TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) or Operational Excellence EnvironmentHands-on experience applying lean maintenance conceptsExceptional leadership, change management and efficient communication skillsAbility to develop peopleAdaptability and ability to handle stressknowledge of local and international regulations, Quality and Security systemsFluent in French & English (written and spoken as this person will be required to work with suppliers and/or clients located outside the province of Quebec)Competent with MS Office and SAP
