Inter Rent REIT is seeking a Cleaner to join our operations team at LIV Apartments, located in the heart of Centretown. This hands‑on role is ideal for a reliable and detail‑oriented cleaning professional with a customer‑first mindset, committed to creating and maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming living spaces for our residents.

Compensation

$17.60 - $19.00/hr based on skills and experience.

Additionally, eligible employees may participate in our comprehensive benefits program, which includes health, dental, and prescription drug coverage for both employees and their dependents.

Responsibilities
In addition to the responsibilities typically expected of a cleaning professional, responsibilities will include:

Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.

Clean and sanitize bathrooms, laundry rooms, and common areas to ensure high hygiene standards.

Empty garbage and ensure that waste is disposed of safely and properly.

Perform occasional deep cleaning including scrubbing baseboards, cleaning appliances, and refinishing floors.

Respond to any cleaning work orders submitted by the property management team.

Perform daily inspections of common areas and report any maintenance issues to the property operations team.

Follow all safety protocols and use all assigned personal protective equipment appropriately.

Qualifications

Friendly, respectable, and community minded, with strong interpersonal skills.

Previous cleaning experience considered an asset, but is not required.

Ability to perform a variety of repetitive physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods of time.

Basic English verbal communication skills are required.

Successful completion of a criminal record check.

Ability to provide professional references and proven record of reliable work attendance.

Additional Information

Most of the work completed will be on site at LIV Apartments, located at 207 Bell Street North, Ottawa ON. However, you may be required to work at neighboring properties. Work location will always be at the discretion of the employer.

Must be comfortable working a rotating schedule that includes weekends.

Ability to respond to emergencies during regular operating hours.

Participation in an after-hours rotational emergency response team may be required.
